Well, if you waited patiently enough till the end of credits, you'll see a short clip of the agent from S.H.I.E.L.D travelling in the desert of Mexico to check out a Hammer piece. Well, its actually Thor's Hammer (Thor is the Thunder God in Marvel Comics and a member of the Avengers).

Smile is a disease!

Read an article on the benefits of a Cheery person, and that Happiness is contagious, that you can pass on happiness even to strangers.

That rings so true in my line of work, when I smile to a customer (even if the customer is upright nasty), I managed to draw out that calmness and politeness in him/her. And I even witness extreme cases where the customer is shouting loudly, hurling demands, and my manager is able to calm him down and he even smile back and talk nicely after some 'cushion-ing' on his anger.

And I did an experiment on myself, kind-of, to be happy even when I feel down or frustrated, I greet everyone I met with a smile, and the moment someone smile back, and with one smile after another, bit by bit, I feel happier at the end of the day. Instead of doing feeling like I did the 'smiling' for others, I did it for myself.

So folks, smile and be happy, even when you feel least like it!

Yea! Daughtry was here in town for a nite of melodious rock hard jamming. Last min, found out that there's 1 ticket available for grab, so join my gd-old-SOT pal for the concert.

Way humid there at the open air concert at Armenian Street, but the concept was great! Open air, seems like Spore start to follow the western concept.

A local band was performing when we arrived, doing their own songs and covers. And Strikeforce did the opening for Daughtry to kick off on a high!

Trust me, local bands have to really catch up with Western music scene, Daughtry really did a fantastic performance.

1st up, aim to sign up for a mission trip that is at least 4 days. =)

Thank God for His Grace and Peace, had my 1st exam paper eariler just now.
And for the 1st time in my life, I experienced stomachache due to anxiety. Used to
remember my friends told me that they had their similar experiences, and I would think that its impossible for such funny things to happen to anyone and its merely just the food they ate that causes it. But now, nothing beats personal experiences. But thank God, the feeling went off once I entered the Exam Hall.

The exam paper was not easy to tackle, BUT!!!!!! 4 out of 5 Qs are similar to past years papers, and the last Q was infact, exactly the same. And to add, its an open book exam (textbook and PERSONAL notes are allowed, so I brought all my past years papers + answers), the rest of the story, need me say more.

You always remind me of my youth days, of how though we may not have much, but God can still use us just the same, look at how God has you used you thus far, and I tell you, greater works will you do than all these, cos God is looking at your heart. All the way, Glenn, I'm cheering you on. I believe that you have what it takes to suceed in Life! =)

This month of Apr thus far, it has been like a spiritual renewal for me, month of Apr '08 marks my 9th year in church, and I'm growing more hungry like never before. The sermon on Jabez, though I had read the book before, and heard similar msgs abt it, but I felt something breakthru on the inside of me, my hunger is stretched. I believed God has a plan in stall for me. Right from the time I visited an adult cg lead by Steven, I felt like I was brought bk to the time when I 1st encounter God in CHC at 16+ yrs old, that hunger, just in awe at how big God is. My capacity for God just enlarge and was more in hunger. Last week, attended Steven's cg, God spoke a Word through Steven into my life, 'leadership', and I was encouraged and even got 'slain'. And just now, attended Ming Jin's cg, and had a great mtg with God too, God sent another word into my life through Ming Jin, '18th Apr '08 marks the day of Change (for me)', and I just cried in His presence. The mtg ended with strong Presence of God in the cg mtg, felt the even stronger presence when Ming Jin laid hands on everyone at the last part. (to all my current cg mbrs, take note, you guys will be blessed, there's tremendous amt of anointing on your current ZS =) )

Now, is the moment of choice! Will continue to seek Him to guide my path. Have a great week folks! Cant wait to seek His Face later...

Treading into the unknown sure brings surprises. Went to an adult cg few hours back. The dynamics of the cg was so different. I was very blessed by the Word. My whole experience there was great, almost all the cg mbrs there are working adults. Right from the start to the end of the whole cg mtg, through the testimony, sharing, and the Word, I felt like I was back to my 1st few encounters with God as a few weeks old Christian, when I join church at 17+. The hunger to know God more, when every sharing from the mbrs, their current challenges and how they break through, its like revelation upon revelation to you.

I've asked God why does transition alway set in, and the only answer I recieved is that; deep inside me, I have this assurance that change is like a clay going through molding work by the potter, the shapeless clay will eventually become a nice looking artifact. (With that, I brave myself for the next chapter of my life. One more cg to visit next thursday...)

Every new realm has their mysteries. But with mysteries, comes new discoveries. Over the years, growing up, I've learnt that to grow to the next level, is to never become comfortable at my current state, change is unavoidable, the choice is, do we choose to change for the good or steer towards the bad.

I chose to be optismistic, see-ing everything as half-full. ^ ^

Alright, this a lame blog, but happy that I've finally took out my lower jaw braces on 27th Mar 2008 at 11.50am... Finally!!!!!!!!! After 3 years of see-ing metal on my teeth, now I can finally brush my teeth normally, floss it normally, and most of all, talk with ease!

Next step, with $$$. comes teeth-whitening!!! Haha!! Ciaos!

A Big thanks to all my beloved CG mbrs!

Wow.. its has been 1.5 years in CL zone, definitely an honour to be under an awesome cgl. I've definitely picked up most of my skills in preaching from my awesome cgl, Charmaine. woman of wisdom, anointing and power! Will miss her, but indeed, happy that she moving from Glory to Glory!

Its been an eventful 3 years in CL zone for me. As I move on to another new chapter in my walk with God, into a new zone, I cant help but to think back of of my past memories with my beloved CL zone cg mbrs and friends.

To all my cg mbrs, those that I know since day 1, like Jiawen, Sean, Annabel, Han Xian, Benedict, to the great team leaders lke Tat Kwek, Serena, Valerie, Shang, Alvin de Souza, Sherylyn, Imelda, to the rest of the most awesome, none-can-compare cg mbrs like Yumei, Glenn, Chai Huat, Gordon, Fabian, Jianrong, too many to mention.. I love you guys. Its amazing as I seen mbrs like Jiawen, from sec 1 till now, moving on to poly year 1, how you've grown, not just more mature in age, but spiritually! It just reminds me that God is always faithful, and awesome, changing a person inside-out. And the same applies to the rest of you, fellow cg mbrs. You guys have grown like a spiritual giant. Truly, I'm going to miss you guys. We'll definitely stay in touch.

Moving on to a new cg, reminds me of my growing up in church, couple of times, changed cg due to various reasons, like NS, ministry purpose.. Unlike most, I like to tread into new territory, to get to know new people, what they're doing and how they've been a blessing to people around. Honestly, though I'm excited to move on to a new cg, will definitely miss you cg mbrs.

But change is for the eventual good of everyone! Simon, James, and John, they're all fisherman by trade, but God intervened and change took place, they became spiritual giants and leaders for Jesus!

P.S. to all my cg mbrs. I'm honoured to share this chapter of my life with you cell mbrs. And I'm sure that you guys will take up this baton for cg growth, revival with tight grip in your palm, I run with all your might to end this race in the new E421 well! I'm excited for you guys!! =)

Firstly, arrgghhh... Switchfoot performed eariler tonite at Expo Max Pavilion .. Too bad, no khakis and low in $$, so forgo my plan for a rolling gd time of rock muzzic.. =(

Met one of my secondary friend when I was on my way to work, told me he has graduated,and will be pursuing his Masters later this year (well, he's a government scholar you know ...). Truly happy for him. Heard from him that another one of our fellow classmate got married!! Haha!

Later today, another one of my classmate gave me a surprise sms mentioning that he already back in Singapore for a short visit for this Lunar New Year, he has been working overseas for awhile now, having completing his Bachelor's Degree in Australia, gosh, and he's currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Australia.

My cg friend (from my very 1st cg 9 years ago) called me for a gathering with some of the rest of them tonight, but was cancelled eventually, guess its due to all of us are just too busy ...

But all in all, though I never really get a chance to meet all my friends from my past when we crossed path, but I know they know they are all doing great! Did I menioned, they are all around quarter-a-century 'young', and they're doing great things in life!

Honestly, mid 20s can be a stressful phase in life, but all my friends (and I), we're are doing good. Prevailing and perservance is a state of the mind! You have one life to live, live it to the max.!

My Life in the Greenery!

Time flies, its has been slightly more than 2 years since I've ORDed from NS. Next week, its my 2nd cycle of reservist training. Just like most normal reservist personnel, I have 10 cycles in total, stretched over a span of 10 years.

While thinking of my reservist, I decided to blog about my NS life. How it has revolutionize my life. Digging out my old cd complilation of photos from my NS days. So here's some photos as I bring you down my memory lane in green.

1st Day as a Recruit --Cant really sleep the night before. Was worrying about 101 things, things-to-bring, my life, etc. Woke up early on the June 11th 2003, (2nd day of CHC's first ever Emerge), Wed at about 5 plus in the morning. Met up with my dear CCH cg mbrs for breakfast at pasir ris White Sands for Mac breakfast. Pst even got one of them to pass me a encouragement card, and some mini toys to cheer me on. So touched!

Said the NS pledge, shaved my head, and a total of 16 weeks of training in Tekong. My weight at BMT, 58 kg.

Finally, after 16 weeks in Tekong. My Rank is a Private!

2nd training phase - SISPEC BSLC. Went on to Sergeant School in Tekong (yea, AGAIN!) Stuck in Tekong again for another 12 weeks of training. Its was definitely tougher in SISPEC. From the morning I woke up, its physicial training, SOC, jungle training, lectures. And the only rest time is during meal times. I even recalled my 21st birthday was spent in tekong (halfway through the course), and the day before my 21st birthday, I had a very bad stomachache, and the day after my 21st, I vomitted and went to see the medical doctor in Tekong, and no MC was given somemore! Lost a few kgs at SISPEC.

During this training phase, I was one of the 20 (out of a company strength of around 200 trainees) selected to be assessed to go on to Officer Cadet School if my leadership performance is good. But well, there's those that did better than me, so I stayed on with my sergeant training eventually.

During the very last day before I P.O.P again from my course, we had to complete a 32 km walk with 20 plus kg of load on us. I remembered that I had abrasion at my thigh area after my 24 km rest point, and as I wanted to complete the 32km, bearing the pain, I went on another 8 more km. It was very painful but yet; with the determination, I completed my 32 km. Tears rolled down my eyes as I reached my ending point. That day, I learned what is really called 'determination'!

Immediately after the 32km road march, we're all required to attend the P.O.P ceremony without any rest, and that day, quite a number fainted due to tiredness and fatigue. Finally, got my corporal rank at the ceremony. My weight at SISPEC BSLC, 57 kg.

Sergeant training phase

After the ceremony, all of us waited eagerly for news of our new posting for our Sergeant training phase. Its a time of saying goodbye to most of my buddies as I was the fortunate few who was posted to a more 'relaxed' Sergeant School of training, Signal Institute.

The next 13 weeks I spent been trained as a Signal Specialist. I spent most of my training time in lecture halls, clicking on computers and listening to boring lectures. I gained quite a few kg as there's no SOC there. lol. My weight at this phase, 59 kg.

Finally, with my 13 weeks over, I'm a 3SG (short-form for 3rd Sergeant)

Once again, most of my friends when on to a same unit for their final NS phase, while me and 3 others were the fortunate few to be selected to a ultimate relaxing unit, '8-5' unit. (8-5 = a lingo to refer to personnel that can work from 8-5pm. In general, can go home everyday, haha).

Final Phase - Serving my remaining NS liability

So its here, in my nice little unit, I'm a 3SG, with no man under my care (unlike my fellow friends that went through the same sergeant course, they have up to 30 mans under their charge once in awhile). I simply need to take charged of my appointed job scope. Pretty carefree. Love the life there! Managed to get my normal 'life' back, catch up with friends, finished up 2 bible study courses, etc. Btw, I even went to Taiwan for 3 weeks for training, total Fun! I gained 2kg when I was there in Taiwan, with all the bubble tea, beef noodle, etc. ^ ^. My weight, 61kg.

In conclusion, who said that NS life is bad, come on, grass is always greener on the other side. NS life widen my horizon and also help me to think through my life and plan my next phase in life, as much as I hate the trainings then, it really taught me alot of life lessons. =)

You served the cg mbrs, been in-charge of so many things, and yet handle tuition assignments, have a full-time job, part-time studies. It has been a stretching year for you in 2007 isn't it. But I know that you doing good, jiayou!! Hang in there, your life vision and goal is getting closer and closer!

Serena - Jiayou! You are a strong woman of God. You have been through storms and turmoils. And finally, you stand. I believe in you! Jiayou! And Thanks for the Xmas gift.

Daniel - The most awesome 'transfomer' I've met thus far, you are always so patient and courteous. I believe that you will be a great art student in Laselle-Sia. And I know that you will definitely get into the school.

Valerie - Thanks for all the effort put into all that you're tasked to do. You're a great woman of God. Jiayou! I believe that you have a great destiny. And thanks for helping me to always build the worship atmosphere with your fantastic guitar skills!

Glenn - You're the man. You're a living example of one who changed trememdously, look at you now, God is using you in so many ways. Hey, I believe that you are a man with emotional strength, I know that down the road, one day, you'll be prospering like never before, because you put your faith in Him. Thank you for been so faithful in the little things I've aske you to do and help me with.

Vannessa - Thinking about you, I think that you've a gift in sourcing out things that people need (p.s. remember that I managed to source out some things that I want, kudos, lol). Firstly, a special thanks to all my friends and relatives for making this Xmas a special one. Filled with fun, joy and Love.

Alright! Alright!

Here's the recipe for my cheesecake! Spent some time to make the cheesecake on Sunday (23rd Dec) evening.

Spent a total of $34 for all the ingredients.

Ingredients:

2 teaspoon of Gelatin in half a cupful of hot-water

1 x Digestives Biscuits

1 x Butter

1-3 lemon (individual preference)

2 x Cream Cheese (Philadephia is the best choice so far)

1 x Condensed Milk

To make the Base of the CheeseCake

Pound the digestive biscuits to pieces, and mixed the melted butter with the crumbs. Make sure its all evenly mixed together; and then spread it across a metal pan. (Thickness of base of the cheesecake should be about 1cm

To make the Cheesecke filling

Mixed evenly => 2 boxes of cheese, half a cup of dissolved gelatin, 1 can of condensed milk, half a cup of squeezed lemon juice (some people like it sour, so you may wanna increase the amount to lemon juice to be added in, or else half a cupful is just nice, simply sweet,creamy and abit of sour taste kinda-cheese-cake). Use a electronic mixer to ensure efficient and fast even mixing of the cheesecake filling. (If you dont have a electronic mixer like me, simply use pure muscle, your hand and start stirring the mashy, slimy, sticky mixture manually).

Verdict for my cheesecake : Delicious beyond words! Dont believe? Try doing one and you'll know it! If say after you made one, and you think it taste yucky! Well, then ask Mr Anointed Hands (ahem! Yours truly, Me) to make one for you at a cheap price. ^ ^ (Aaaa, I'll add in my secret additional ingredient for your cheesecake ^ ^)

Boxing Day (Part 1)

Started my day today going out with my mum. We went to Chinatown for a time of shopping. Just when you think that Chinatown is boring, noooooooooo... so much have changed at Chinatown, the newly painted shophouses,

the daytime shophouses,

and the numerous ladies' fashion shops.

At the Ladies' fashion shop, that is where I learnt something else about my mum. Her bargaining skills are superb! She managed to strike a deal for a top from the price of $28 to $20, *jaw dropped and *kudos! I was in awe when the shop owner called her back to strike the deal with her, total *kudos!

After that, we both went to visit my granny. Ate my lunch there at 4.35pm, (yea, dinner huh!).

Then we head on down to visit my aunt (my mum's eldest sis). And it is when I was there when I was reminded that I already a 'uncle', I have 2 niece (P5 and P1) and 1 nephew (K1) enjoying their every moment of school holiday. I decided to act out what I've learnt about exploding prosperity into people's lives; and be a friendly and nice uncle to the 3 of them (since I only get to see them once a blue moon ) by bringing them to Tiong Bahru Plaza to buy some post-Xmas gift for them, since its boxing day anyway! After our little adventure (with a few heart-thumping moment when my little nephew loves to run around even when he's walking by the road-side) filled with long walks and choosing the gifts they want, a brand new smile shone on their face. A definite satisfying moment for me indeed.

Ha! Finally, I'm in the mood for Xmas!

Today, I went out to meet up with my SIM friends for Xmas dinner and gift exchange. As I arrived early, I went to bought my 1st item on my wishlist, L'Arc~en~Ciel cd album - KISS. Like one particular song in the Album, track 10 "Hurry Xmas". ^ ^

At Vila'ge, had quite a filling meal there. Spent $27.83 ,,,('o'),,, But the food was not at its best, the Rosti was not crispy enough... -_-

Did our Xmas gift exchange there and thought of playing a game of guessing who's buying the gift for who, but oh well, ended up we simply give the gift to whoever we assigned to just like that.. -_-" . Guess what I got, so cuteeeeee... haha... A USB Mini Ducky Vacuum and a Ducky Note Clip! Cutesy stuff.... so cuteeeeeeee.....

And lastly, I also recieved an unexpected gift from my very good pal in SIM, Larry. He gave me another 'so cuteeeeeeeee' mug! Winnie the Pooh mug.. so cuteeeeeeee.... (okie, enough with the 'so cuteeeee' duh! )

Braces Off!

Braces Off!

Finally, after 2 years and 10 months of torture, I finally took off my upper braces yesterday! Feel weird seeing my teeth w/o the silver metal. Still left with my lower portion yet to take out maybe next week or next month. Gotta spend $$ on the retainer. (-_-"') After taking the braces off, its not realy perfect yet, final phase, whitening ($$ again) ! My teeth is natural brown-white. Soon, shall go for whitening! ^ ^ - 2.48pm

Singapore - The band whose name is taken from a surfing term,Switchfoot, will bring their highly energetic and entertaining live show to Singapore for the first time and for one night only, on January 31, 2008, at the Max Pavilion.

Said Concert Organizer Mr Jon Hemsley from Wake Me Up Music, "Given the band's immense popularity and diverse range of fans, Switchfoot fans here have waited far too long for the band to come perform in Singapore!"

The San Diego-based Grammy nominated alternative rock band is best known for their unusual three-guitarist line-up to deliver the unique "Switchfoot Sound" - described by many as "a melodic crunch of densely layered sound featuring some electronic experimentation, and often driven by hard-charging guitar riffs."

The band consists of Jon Foreman on vocals and guitar, Tim Foreman on bass and backing vocals, Chad Butler on drums, Filipino-American Jerome Fontamillas on guitar,keyboard and backing vocals and Drew Shirley on guitar.

Switchfoot's first big mainstream break came when four of their songs were included in the 2002 movie A Walk to Remember. This led to their first major label debut, The Beautiful Letdown in 2003, which sold more than two million albums in the U.S. alone and produced two Top 10 Pop and Modern Rock singles "Meant To Live" and "Dare You To Move". The band's 2005 album Nothing Is Sound debuted at no. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart and promptly went gold; yielding the radio hit "Stars."

Its the time of the year again.

More than just the celebration, the joyous occassion, its all about spending time with the one you love, lavishing gift/s on the one you love. Relatives, friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, etc.

Stretched

Its the time to be jolly.

Wow, just a blink of an eye, the year has come to an end. This whole december has been a stretching and great time. (And I know that after I'm stretched, I'll never return to my ususal capacity again.) If you asked me to evaluate this year 2007 thus far, I would really say that it hasnt been really good.

Disclaimer: (My next few sentences and words, after reading it, many of you will be shock I assume, as I know that some may view me very much as an optimistic person, and after reading it, you may think I'm emo )

Many things, I've always want to see it happening, but hasnt really did happen. After a bumpy and heart-wrenching 2006, I was optismistic to look forward to a perfect <7=perfect> 2007, but it just got worst thus far. I've been stretched. Going from one transition to another, having to make major decisions, its all so demanding and energy draining at times. (Of course, it not all that bad in 2007, I found her! ^ ^). But with all the transition, things I've done wrong, its all so heart-aching.

My emotions, physical strength, my every being is been sucked in. Who can really understand me but Him.

And, I know that He's Grace is all-sufficient, I'm determined to end this year well, to start the year 2008 on a high note!

Hi All,

wanna take this chance to introduce to someone which can be quite familar to many singaporeans, Khoo Swee Chiow. Yes, he's the first Singaporean who conquered Mount Everst.

Currently he's on an inline skating expedition. He will attempt to break the Guinness World Record of the Longest Journey on Skates. The current record is 4,175km. Swee Chiow's route, from Hanoi, Vietnam to Singapore, is approximately 6,000km. He plans to do it in 100 days.

After saying "A-di-os" to my good friend Laurence on 17th Oct, he set off with Swee Chiow to Hanoi. Their expedition started on 20th Oct 2007. Do take some time to check out their expedition on this webbie : http://www.daretodream.com.sg/skate_report38.htm .

My Pursuit Of Happyness

Finally,

I managed to catch 'Pursuit of Happyness'.

Simply fabulous, inspiring and makes one reflect and compare their personal circumstances to Chris Gardner's. I mean, in Singapore, I believed that 99.5 % of Singaporean are better off than Chris.

His wife left him cos he cant really provide for the family, he got to sell his almost useless and redundant 'bone density' scanner machine (which a crack-up person in the movie said that its a 'time machine', ROFL). He love his son very much, insisiting that he will take care of his son rather than allowing his wife to take his son to another state. While he worked hard travelling to sell his lousy Bone density machine, he worked hard as an intern in a well-known Stock Broking Company, Dean Witter. He wasted no time drinking water while in the office, so as to save that few minutes not going to the gents. He knocked off punctually, so that him and his son, they can queued up as early as 5pm for a one-night stay at a free lodging Home-stay. And once, they didnt made it, and slept in the Railway's gents!

Many normal, small petty life circumstances caused him to miss his chance making it big, but he never gave up. He just kept presevering on, and eventually, he really did made it big! Becoming a multi-millonaire.

Our life, like a ship, is constantly hit by many storms, but who is the one who can conclude the ship-wreck, its the ship itself. We can make our own come-back as long as we repair the damage done to the ship after a storm. Afterall, each storm, how big can it really be, I mean, even the greatest storm in the world, as long as we build a ship that is bigger than the storm, we will conquer the storm yet again.

Chris Gardner's life pursuit for the happy-ness, is filled with many set-backs. But really, the movie remnded me, the pursuit of happy-ness, be it if its only for a short moment, its all worth it.
